Frequently Asked Questions |
IS THIS FOR REAL? AND IS JEN FRIESEN A REAL PERSON?
WHY AREN'T YOU ADVERTISING THE NAME OF THE SHOW?
Because sometimes networks and production companies prefer to release their own marketing themselves when they feel the time is right. If we call you, we'll tell you all the details.
IS THIS REALLY FREE?
Yup. This is a casting service, intent on matching real people, actors, hosts and on-air personalities with talk, entertainment and docu-reality television shows. You should never pay any money to be on a TV show, unless it is a role you've won via charity auction.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF YOU'VE CONSIDERED ME?If you fill out the information on the APPLY NOW page, you can be sure that you are being considered for what we are currently casting for, and if you'd like, we can consider you for future programs as well. You've heard the old saying, "Don't call us, we'll call you." It's true in casting. We know what we're looking for, and if we think there's potential, we WILL call!IF I'M CAST ON THIS SHOW, WILL I GET PAID?Any payment of any kind is always at producers' discretion, and it also depends on the show if you will receive payment at all. We know your time is valuable, but we also hope that you want to participate for the chance to share your story, learn, grow and have fun.CAN MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ALSO SIGN UP?Yup! Of course! I HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR A TV SHOW. CAN I PITCH IT TO YOU?We really just want to hear about your actual life and who you are, what you're doing, what you're struggling with, what motivates you and what your dreams are. If you think your actual life could be a show, well then we're all ears; however, Producers Casting does not accept written concept pitches. Get an agent and then contact us. IF YOU CALL ME, DOES THAT MEAN I'M CAST ON THE SHOW?No. It means we'd like to learn more about you! If you hear the words, "We're calling to officially book you on the show" - then please know that you're being booked on the show.I KNOW I'M BEING SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED...WHY IS THE PRODUCTION HAVING ME SIGN RELEASE FORMS?Because standard release forms MUST be signed before anyone can appear on a national television program. ALL networks require this, so if you're not comfortable signing standard forms that release your image to be used on television by the network and potentially, it's affiliates, then you may want to reconsider the casting process. Everyone you see on TV, with the exception of most people on news broadcasts, have signed some sort of release. IF YOU DON'T CONTACT ME FOR THIS CURRENT SHOW, CAN I RE-SUBMIT MYSELF FOR FUTURE CASTING OPPORTUNITIES?Yes! Thank you!IS AN ACTUAL PERSON GOING TO LOOK AT MY SUBMISSION?Yes! Almost as soon as you send it! We only post casting notices that we need to cast immediately.
WHEN IS THIS SHOW AIRING? Once you have been cast on a series, someone from production will let you know when the show is scheduled to air. This is always subject to change, as it is ultimately up to the network, and not the production company. Very rarely does the network give out DVDs of the program, so it's best to set your DVR when you find out the air date of your show.
